THE HISTORY OF TAUNTON by Joshua Toulmin and James Savage (Ref 011) First   published   in   the   early   1790's   and   updated   to   republished   in   1822   this   is   still   probably one   of   the   most   useful   and   important   works   written   about   the   county   town   of   Somerset. The   book   contains   in   great   detail   all   of   the   main   historical   events   that   have   taken   place   or connected   to   Taunton   .   There   are   also   transcripts   of   the   monumental   transcriptions   at   St Mary's church, St. James and Paul's Meeting house. This   publication   is   essential   for   anyone   with   an   interest   or   connections   with   the   sound   of Taunton.
