About Me

My name is Bernard Welchman and I was born in Somerset and now live in Devon. I am married to Elaine and have one grown up daughter, Rebecca.

My profession is as a family historian and also combine this with producing Local/Family History books, that are out of print or I own the copyright for, on CD in order to make them available at a low price to anyone who is interested.

I consider myself very lucky in that I have a profession that I love and it is never a chore to “go to work”. One of my aims is to give an old fashioned service where the customer was the most important person and not, as seems that case today, an afterthought.

My other interests are walking, wildlife and music (all types).
